Some truly amazing and very entertaining stories are told about water shows that graced the Miami Beach strip hotels and the world renowned high diving contests featured on ABC's Wide World of Sports in the 1950s & 1960s. These chronicles sxpound on the careers of such early-era icons as Barney Cipriani (the 1st King of high diving), Al Valadares, Whitey Heart, Charlie Diehl and Bill McGuire.
Bob Kerper and other Water Show Producers shed light on such aquatic spectaculars as Billy Roses's Aquacade, Sam Howard's Water Show, Henry Soff's Aqua Show, Al Sheehan's Aqua Follies, Sam Snider's Water Spectacular and the many Maxwell aquatic productions that saturated the water-show landscape through the years.
